Does your content have IG swipin’ LEFT? Are you having difficulty getting those likes, shares and comments? Well, fear not, I’m here to help ya out!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Instagram’s one and only goal is to keep users on the platform as long as possible. What does that mean for you? Well, that means that your main goal should be to keep your followers on your page as long as possible. How? Good news, I’m going to share content that the Instagram Algorithm LOVES.
With a bomb content strategy *AHEM, my Content Cocktail Strategy* and these fine tips, you’re gonna rock the socks off of the algorithm.
Just like this post, you’re swiping and reading the information that I’m sharing. Therefore, keeping you on my page longer than a regular post.
Because Instagram favors ‘time spent’, you’re (according to studies) keeping your reader on your page longer than normal – increasing your engagement rate by 5.13%.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Video is viral content! And just like your swipe posts, video also keeps your audience locked on for a good period of time. Again, longer ‘time spent’… you catchin’ the theme here?
Studies have shown that video increases the # of comments and has a longer life-span. Meaning, you’ll still receive comments, likes and share long after you initially post the video – it’s not a ‘one and done’ like the IG posts typically are.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Unlike the other two, quotes (or graphics) increase your visibility and is considered ‘viral content’. More so than photos of you, your audience is more likely to share quotes directly to their story.
Therefore, doing the sharing for you. This is what leads to posts going viral – having others share your content for you.

If you’re a part of the Create & Captivate Facebook Community you’ve heard me talk a lot about repurposing your content, a lot. And here’s the thing, you don’t need to be working harder than you need to and if I’m honest – you not repurposing is actually hurting your conversion rate.
According to studies, it takes 7-12 exposures with one singular message in order for it to become meaningful and 12-22 exposures for conversion. Meaning, your constant pursuit to create ‘new’ content isn’t serving you OR your clients.
You know that “what the hell do I post on my stories today?” feeling? Well, my Mirror Method is going to change that for you. Here’s how it works: let’s say your posting schedule is something like Monday, Wednesday, Friday (I usually recommend 3-4x per week). The Mirror Method would look like this…
Monday: You post ‘3 Sales Tips’ on your Instagram
Tuesday’s story: Mirror the sales post you did on Monday on your stories (face-to-cam style)
Wednesday: You post a ’10 Fun Facts About Me’ on your IG
Thursday’s story: Mirror the ’10 Fun Facts About Me’ on your stories (face-to-cam OR quiz sticker style)
Friday: You post ‘How to write headlines’ on your IG
Monday’s story: Use Friday’s post as your story content
You can use the Mirror Method in reverse, your story trainings could become your posts. If you hang with me over on Instagram, you’ll see me do this real time.
This method gets you closer to that 7-12 exposure count that we are striving for – woo!
I know this may not seem like a sexy new idea – but I do have a certain way of posting on multiple platforms. First, you need to decide on your main platform – where does your content land first, exclusively? For most, Instagram is THE platform, but I have clients who focus mainly on Facebook, LinkedIn or YouTube. Once you decide on that, we can move onto my method.
There is nothing more annoying than logging in to Facebook and seeing the exact same post that you just read on Instagram plastered in multiple Facebook groups all in the same day. It feels repurposed vs being posted with intention.
Here’s how to repurpose your content across platforms:
Let’s use the content schedule from above as this example as well. This time, instead of daily, we are going to repurpose weekly.
Week 1:
Week 2:
Week 3:
Organizing this cross-promotion (and content repurposing in general) is easy-peasy when you have an organized content calendar that’ll keep you intentional. If you haven’t snagged my Cash Converting Content for $67, snag it here. I have all the templates and strategies you need to keep your content intentional and converting.
Again, to reiterate, we want to say the same things over and over again in order to encourage our reader to remember (and convert)! Truthfully, our content only lands on 30% of our Instagram audience. They don’t “see” everything we post, so again, repurposing isn’t going to have them saying, “I already read this!”
In fact, I once posted an IG post, Story, IGTV and Live video all in the same week and still had my audience reaching out thanking me for the information. And yes, it was the exact same topic!
Which leads me into the next tip, repurpose content for Video + Lives:
If writing captivating content is tough or if you regularly spend 3 hrs in front of a blinking cursor, shaking your fists yelling “WHAT THE HELL DO I POST?!” allow me to step in.
My Cash Converting Content Course will help you create 50+ posts in ONE sitting. Yup, you read that right. My Signature Content Cocktail Method will help you position yourself as a leader through a balanced repurposing formula that’ll change your content game forever.
